FSE-1581B Foil scrim kraft insulation consists of 15u foil and 2-way scrim (5x5mm spacing) with heat-activated polyethylene on its back. Good corrosion-resistance and abrasive-resistance. It is a premium grade Heat Sealing FSK Insulation facing,it is both a vapor barrier and a flame retardant.
Aluminum Foil: This outer layer acts as a radiant barrier, reflecting heat back towards the source and reducing heat transfer through the insulation. This helps to keep the interior cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter, improving energy efficiency.
Fiberglass Scrim: This middle layer is made of fiberglass mesh and provides additional strength and tear resistance to the facing. It helps to prevent the facing from ripping or tearing during installation and handling.
Kraft Paper: The inner layer is made of brown kraft paper and serves several purposes. It acts as a vapor retarder, preventing moisture from migrating through the insulation and potentially causing mold or mildew growth. Additionally, the kraft paper provides a smooth surface for the aluminum foil to adhere to and increases the facing's overall durability.
While FSK insulation facing offers many benefits, it is important to ensure that it is correctly installed to prevent any gaps or spaces where moisture can enter.
Building insulation: Covering insulation materials in attics, walls, and floors.
Ductwork: Helps prevent condensation and heat loss in HVAC systems.
Industrial applications: Used to insulate pipes, tanks, and other industrial equipment.
Improved energy efficiency: Reduces heat transfer and energy loss.
Moisture control: Acts as a vapor barrier, preventing moisture from entering the insulation.
Durability: Protects the insulation material from damage.
Ease of installation: Can be easily attached to insulation materials.
