This foil-scrim-kraft facing consists of 18u foil and 2-way scrim (5x5mm spacing) with heat-activated polyethylene on its backing. Foil scrim kraft facing is suitable for in-line lamination with insulation facing materials by heating. No need for extra adhesive when using this foil scrim kraft paper.
The aluminum foil reflects radiant heat, contributing to energy efficiency. The 18u foil provides a reliable barrier against moisture transmission. The Kraft paper and 2-way scrim provide good tear resistance and dimensional stability, though perhaps not as much as a thicker foil or 3-way scrim. The thinner foil and 2-way scrim may offer greater flexibility. This combination of materials often offers a balance of performance and cost-effectiveness. It is widely used in construction, water-proofing, reinforcing and coating applications.
