Double sided aluminum insulation is medium duty, housing grade foil insulation, for improving the thermal performance of buildings and reducing energy costs.
Double sided aluminum insulation refers to a type of insulation material that has aluminum foil on both sides, and consists of two layers of aluminum foil with 1 layer natural kraft paper. The aluminum foil on both sides acts as a radiant barrier, reflecting heat and preventing its transfer through radiation.
The double sided aluminum foil insulation helps to reduce heat gain in hot climates and heat loss in cold climates, making it an effective solution for improving the insulation performance of a building or structure. Relatively lightweight, making it easier to handle and install compared to some bulkier insulation materials. It might also act as a vapor barrier to some extent, reducing moisture penetration.
Double sided aluminum insulation is common used in various applications, including walls, roofs, attics, and HVAC ducts, to provide enhanced thermal insulation and energy efficiency. It is ideally used as sarking and insulation under roofs, in walls behind cladding or under timber floors, for residential and commercial building.
