Aluminum foil tape HVAC is typically made of a thin aluminum foil backing coated with a strong adhesive on one side. The aluminum foil provides a barrier against moisture, air, and heat, while the adhesive ensures a secure bond when applied.
A 30um thickness provides a good balance of strength, flexibility, and thermal performance, allowing the tape to conform to irregular surfaces while providing a durable, tear-resistant seal. Synthetic Rubber-Resin Adhesive offers excellent initial tack and superior adhesion to a variety of surfaces. It performs well under a range of temperature fluctuations, making it suitable for HVAC environments. These aluminum foil tapes are designed to withstand typical HVAC operating temperatures, which can vary from very cold to very hot, making them ideal for both heating and cooling systems.
Common applications of aluminum foil tapes in HVAC systems include sealing joints, seams, and connections in ductwork, air vents, and other components; insulating ductwork and pipes; repairing damaged insulation; and secure insulation materials such as fiberglass or foam board on ductwork, pipes, or other HVAC components.
